I will assume that you are not native to Chile.
I moved to Chile 3 years ago, after having lived most of my live in the United States, but before coming to Chile 8 years in Guatemala and 2 years in Honduras.
I also lived for one year in the Philippines.
Let's talk about Chile.
To sum it up very succintly. The people of Chile are like the people of the USA were in about 1955. The moral fiber of the country is also about like the USA in 1960. The infrastructure is equal to that of the USA. Good education system. Good highways. Good uncorrupt police. The bribe does not exist here. A good economy. On the upswing. But your US dollar is not nearly as potent as it was 3 years ago. 3 years ago I was getting over 600 Chilean dollars for one US dollar. Now I get about 535. Because Chile is the source of the worlds copper and the Chinese are buying it up rapidly.
I gained my permanent residence in Chile in less than 2 years. The immigration department was the most efficient I have ever encountered. And the cost of residence was I think less than 20 bucks. In Guatemala it took me about 3 years and the cost was also about 20 bucks. But the rules and regulations and paperwork were horrendous. In Honduras, it was necessary to employ a lawyer just to handle the paperwork. And to start the process , the application form cost 135 US dollars. And it took 5 years to become a permanent resident.
Chile is not cheap, cheap like Central America. But it has a culture more like Europe and I think it is much more economical than the USA. What is nice about Chile, you can choose which strata in which you wish to live, and can live there securely. You can live in a poor district but you still can live with dignity and respect. The average Chilean is very respectful of authority. And he likes a clean environment. Enough. I could talk for hours about the good that is CHile. To tell you the truth. In my 3 years here I have not had one bad experience. You can contact me through the gallery Inscribirse page. tom pavlóvich
The small lake is located about 3 Kilometers (1.8 miles from the property) The village of ChiuChiu is about 1/2 mile away. In the village are stores, the church and the school as well as shops of artisans and a hotel. The village is a tourist venue all year long because of its historical heritage and the nice climate.
The water system is already in place. The water is only about 12 feet below the surface and a noria system is used to bring it up. See the quicktime movie to know what a noria is.
ChiuChiu is located about 20 minutes via paved road from Calama , which is a medium sized town, the center of the mining industry of northern Chile.

The price of the land is the cheapest you will find in the area. Price is cash 5 million Chilean dollars, which equates to about $9400 US$ or about 7300 euros.
Look, it is the Christmas season. Why not buy this land for your grandchildren just as an gift?
Or a gift for yourself.
How many people in your office can boast of owing land in the best country in the world.
While the rest of the world is at war, Chileans are drinking wine playing with their kids, relaxing and enjoying tjhemselves.
Not shoveling snow and paying horrendous heating bills.
I will even chip in 50 bucks if you buy in December. tom pavlóvich
And I am not a real estate person. I just happen to know that Nora wishes to enlarge her studio with the proceeds of the land. I gain absolutely no commission. Just like to help my friends.
